Six Players, Two Reserves

In a game of six players that lasts for 50 minutes, two reserves substitute for each player so that all players, including reserves, are on the field for the same length of time.

How long is each player on the field?

  1. Showing my work:

6 players on the field for 50 minutes:
    (6 players) * (50 minutes) = 300 player-minutes
    Divided equally among 8 players:
    (300 player-minutes) / (8 players) = 37.5 minutes
